WHAT ABOUT COVID-19

We are still actively relocating vessels in a COVID Safe way.

WE ARE ABLE TO BRING VESSELS INTO AUSTRALIA FROM OVERSEAS WITH THE COVID RESTRICTIONS IN PLACE.

 

We do this by working closely with all the governmental agencies of each nation and state where we operate. As professional maritime crew our sailoroos follow strict covid protocols and requirements. In addition to our existing safety measures, we have implemented a few new protocols to help you feel at ease when using us.

COVID SAFE

​

Of course, safety is always paramount at sailor.com.au and we want to assure our customers that we have a COVID plan in place and can relocate vessels internationally as well as locally. The world has changed and we have adapted with it.  We want you all to know we are taking the current health crisis very seriously and will always put our crews safety at the forefront of our relocation operations.

GOVERNMENT ADVICE

 

As a COVID safe business, we are continuously looking after the well being of our crew and the vessel by actively staying on top of government health advice. Not only in Australia but all the countries we operate in. Stay informed and please refer to health.gov.au for all up to date information.

PRE-SCREENING AND HOT SPOT EXCLUSIONS, AT A COUNTRY OR STATE-LEVEL

 

Please note, our operations team keep vigilance and will keep our customers informed of the latest developments that may affect their delivery.

RESCHEDULE OR CANCEL YOUR RELOCATION

​

Book your relocation with confidence with us. We understand you may need to reschedule or cancel, especially if things become too hard. Please contact us to discuss your relocation booking using email at support@sailor.com.au. You can put your relocation on hold for 12 months and change locations if need be. Some changes may incur additional charges but our friendly team will discuss this with you.

PHYSICAL DISTANCING

​

Physical distancing can be difficult, especially when travelling, preparing the yacht or sailing. To assist in the process of physical distancing, we have trained our crew on protocols they must adhere to for undertaking relocations.

​

HYGIENE

​

Our crew undergo special training, get tested frequently, and adhere to covid-19 protocols that we have in place. Our Staff will wear protective clothing wherever possible (gloves, face marks, masks).  Please note, face masks are required by all our crew during their time undertaking a delivery, on transport, at the airport and but not when sailing in isolation from the rest of the world. We will provide masks to our crew. Temperature and symptom checks will be conducted on all crew and staff prior to being allowed entry onto a yacht the that we are relocating.

CLEANING

​

We have increased our cleaning protocols in all areas of our relocated yachts and will ensure all frequently used areas are regularly cleaned and sanitised as per the local health department guidelines before they depart. We will not be offering shared clothing such as fleeces, wet weather gear, bibs, boots or gloves. 

​

CONTACT TRACING

​

We log all details prior to crew picking up a vessel as part of a contact tracing protocol.  When you travel with us, your personal data may be provided to official government bodies to help stop the spread of any health outbreaks. We encourage all staff and travellers to download the CovidSafe app to assist in this process. For more information on how we use your data, please read our Privacy Policy.
